I'm jolly cross that someone called seraphim is now asking all the difficult questions on different websites, even though the proprieter has asked us not to 'cheat' in GFQ and GBQ.

GFQ 27 had the 'rules' on the yellow leaderboard page. I'm quite new but it does say they've been put on before.
If the compiler can't set rules who can?
This time I've only googled a few keywords to 3 or 4 questions and I'm directed to seraphim and fred someone instead of a selection of websites that I can peruse myself. I didn't notice when they posted.
I like solving and looking up for myself.

Whatever name YOU use to enter isn't relevant to my point which is that people are cheating when asked not to.
Does it sound like 'FUN' to you if you have ABers finding out the answers for you. Perhaps YOU are seraphim and fred someone! The FUN for me is puzzling away for weeks to come up with an answer myself. I don't want to google keywords either only to be directed to 'forums' like AB where the 'helpers' don't realise they are aiding and abetting.
I expect you've finished so good luck.

Ma point is that no-one knows HOW an individual has got his or her answers do they? If the compiler said yous were not allowed to look in the library or ask pals for the answers would you abide by those requests?
This is a question and answer site and I intend to carry on answering any question, regardless of the reason or the particular quiz.
PS I've never taken part in either of the quizzes mentioned and have no intention of doing so in the future

How could you check for the rules if you've not got the entry sheets that are SENT to entrants with the previous month's answers. They aren't on line.
Yes. I always abide by the rules to all comps be they quizzes, crosswords, or consumer competitions found in shops. Honesty is the best policy.
Many contests require a signature to say all your own work.
Ask away. It may be interesting to see what you don't know, given the screen name.

I think the point that the QM is trying to make is this. You ask a friend or mate down the pub who gives you the answer. You ask on Answerbank and are given the answer. With the first you alone are given the answer, with the second option, you are given the answer but so is anyone else who looks on AB. So which option would you go with? I know which one I would use.
