Laser Hair Removal

I'm considering having laser hair treatment to remove some unwanted hair on my body... well, lots of it in fact. I was wondering, has anybody had this procedure done, and if so, would they mind telling me where they went, and if they are happy with the results? ( I am in London. )

I have been looking into it and it is quite expensive, as they seem to all recommend between 5-8 treatments, and as the area I am wishing to do is reasonably large, it's looking at just over 2000. This I'll happily pay on the proviso that most of the hair will be gone permanently. So, any help/experiences on this would be really appreciated! Thanks a lot.

I went for a session last night. I'm not in London so can't help you with that part.

The reason they reccommend so many treatments isbecause the hair grows in 3 stages and the laser will only work at one stage (I don't remember which). Not even the best doctors in the world could tell you which stage the hair is at, so you just have to keep at it until all the hairs are captured.

With regard to the procedure itself, there's nothing to it nothing to be scared of. The beautician will use something that liig a bit like a rectangular shower head, when she presses the button on this thing, it will emit high heatfor a millisecond. It's not long enough for you to even think "oh, that was hot".

I promise it's not uncomfortable and I can doubly promise it's worth every single penny.

It does rmove lighter hair, just not the really light, fine hair you have on your jawline, for example.

My light hair has gone. Period.
I'm enjoying this ...

The Expert Opinion v The Empirical Evidence

Janevgrey, whatever the "professionals" may say, the fact is that if Lakitu is light haired, and she's successfully had all the hair lazered off her fanny, then it must work.

It's simple logic, isn't it?
lol!
ooh, the empirical strikes back...
Oh lol! I don't know if laser treatment removes light hair full stop, or not, but I DO know that sometimes it takes subsequent treatments to remove it all permanently.
It's because the laser will only remove the hair permanently at one stage of the three stages of growth, but we don't know which stage the hair is at, so we just keep going back until it's all captured :)
2k seems a lot to spend on the off-chance your hair wont re-grow, try:

http://www.empirestores.co.uk/Product/Product. aspx?ProductId=H152200000&&DocumentId=ER55&&** *******=E&&ProductCode=HW1522&&&ECC=0700607257 000PF4107VR010VS290hp&&OC=PF4107&&AC1=EVR010&& AC2=EVS290 99!

or google laser hair removal....buy your own tool to use as & wen!
terambulan, who said there was chance of it growing back? The laser kills the folicle the hairs grows from, the hair will never grow back.

Your link is dead.
Google Laser, hair removal.....that's how I found it.

Much cheaper than 2k requested. When you've finished sell it on ebay.
