Astra Temperature Display
The "outside temperature" display on my "p" reg astra is reading 45.1 degrees. It's near freezing outside. Anybody know what's wrong and where is the "sender" unit situated. I don't mean the engine temp!

It may not be wrong at all, but displaying temp in Fahrenheit - 45.1 is about 7C which is not unrealistic. Unfortunately can't help you with switching to Celsius The thermocouple (the bit that reads the temperature) are commonly mounted in the door mirror housing. A little lump on the underside of the housing would indicate this to be true for the Astra.
