Is this crazy or what?

So, I understand that white wine always goes with fish, and red goes with beef, but what goes with hotdogs?
Seriously, a new hotdog RESTAURANT (the kind that serves 20 different varieties of hotdogs for dinner and deep fried twinkies for dessert!) opened nearby that serves wine (!) and I would like to know what would be proper wine etiquette.

Since a hotdog is prmarily meat with strong additional flavours of onions, mustard ketchup etc, I'd recommend a lively red wine, such as a (red) Zinfandel.
For twinkies - a sweet dessert wine. A good Sauternes (Chateau Y'quem would be ideal), or Barsac, or Brown Bros Orange Muscat & Flora.
Enjoy
...can I be honest here? As hot dogs are mainly cereal, pigs penis', pigs snout, pigs toe nails, 'slurry', and colouring...I think the choice of wine is the least of your worries....but in my better moments I think well...actually....if you are going to eat one part of an animal's body whats wrong with any of it!? After all...whose to say that rump is better than penis, or even beef is better than an Alsatian? Or chicken is better than that stray cat that abruptly disappeared when Hai Hong Shing opened in the High Street? sorry...just have a lager with it.
