They always do this, the newscasters, they say goodbye then take a pen out and sign all over their scripts, and what are they writing ? I like to think they are scribbling "no you can't look up my skirt, and no I am not going to grin"

I have serious doubts about your sincerity, but what they are doing is signing to affirm that they have actually read the words in their script. If they don't they can be sued. It dates back to the old radio days, and curiously the law has never been changed.
