AB Ed - Changing Username

Hi AB Ed - someone who uses AnswerBank, has been having difficulty trying to change their Username. This person has sent AB 3 separate e-mails asking for assistance, but has still not received a reply.

 

Therefore, is there anyone else who could assist. Every time this person tries to change their username, it keeps coming up with 'this e-mail address is already in use'. Where does he/she go from there? Thank you in anticipation of a prompt rely.

 

As an aside, I also sent an e-mail to AB two days ago, asking for technical advice as I couldn't post anything at all. I can post now, well intermittently, but still haven't received a reply either. How regular are the e-mail enquiries checked & acted upon. Just wondering.

However, could you please assist with the above question on changing usernames. I have never attempted to change mine & don't intend to, so I wouldn't know the answer.

I suggest that the trouble the user is having this problem is either trying to take names already employed by other ABers - or he/she is simply not changing his/her username correctly.

To do so...

• log-in using your current details
• click on My Details at the top of the page
• change the User Name only. If it is already in use by another ABer, the system will not allow it again.
• click Submit
• log in again, using new username.
