I'm looking to paint my kitchen and would like any ideas of colours that would go - the floor is grey and the tiles are terrecotta - any ideas welcome!

My friend painted her kitchen one of these shades and it looks quite posh!! Do use a kitchen and bathroom type paint so you can wipe off any marks/stains in the future. It saves painting the whole room again!!
Thanks - never really considered blue! Just painted my living room a green shade at the weekend and ended up buying six different tester pots before I reached a decision so it looks like I could be down to B&Q buying every shade of blue this evening! I'm also liking the pale butter idea, I was thinking a yellow tone myself!
Have a look at the Dulux site. They have an interactive board where you can compare different colours.

Dulux Colour mixing can scan any colour you want and make it up into a paint. Most B &Q stores will do it and its free. I would recommend Rum Caramel 4! I have a colour scheme similar to yours and it works brilliantly - it's neutral but not bland, adds a bit of depth of colour and is very restful too. The terracotta tiles will be a strong, warm colour and fairly dominant in the colour scheme so you don't want any colour that will compete with it and therefore possibly clash. Your paint doesn't have to be specifically kitchen/bathroom paint, a soft sheen or silk (if you want more reflection) would be perfectly suitable as both are washable.
