depends where you were born.if in jamaica youd be jamaican but as it was part of the british commonwealth i think you could get a british passport of sorts.

doesnt matter if i catch a pike or a tiddler legend its the wriggling that counts :) have a good day
Hi Bob,

Both my parents were Jamaicans, came here in the separately in the 50's, married and 2 kids, me and my brother.

Both me and my brother were born here and both regard ourselves thoroughly as English!!!

So we are as English as you, the only difference is the colour of our skin!!!

Have a good day.
sorry but you will become british not english
I think you are British, if Jamaica is still a Brit Colony? To be English you have to take out citizenship?

I was born in the Far East as father was a serviceman but I dont have a right to the country's passport nor considered one of their nationals!

My birth certificate is registered in UK thro the War Office (for servicemen).............pooh! Would luv to have dualship!
Even if the parents (or u) take citizenship ur children will not automatically be citizens.....they have to pay again!

Con, ain' it!

ie if u are only a 'brit subject' u have a long wait in airports of some moslem countries (like Turkey) while they clear you!
