Is anyone celebrating this?

Me and my other half run a limited company and I have given our staff the day off today as I really think this should be a public holiday. Anyone agree?

Well if you worked for me you'd have your feet up at home right now, lol!!

Apprently there is a town in Yorshire where there are massive celebrations... wish I could have gone actually!
Yes, I agree too, it should be a public holiday and there should be more widespread celebrations. It's ridiculous the English should feel sheepish about celebrating their own saints day.
Of course it should - sorry for the late post, just spotted this. We in Ireland have St Paddy's day, and half the world stops for that. You guys should demand your day too, and be proud of your heritage instead of letting people hide it and apologise for it. I just could never understand how a proud nation such as England could be so humbled.
I always thought St Georges Day was April 23rd?
sorry, just seen the date, ooops!
