Time to put your hand in your pocket and spend some dosh mate.

When was the last time the brakes were overhalled ?.

Could be brake calipers seized, or rear brake calipers seized, brake shoes heating and expanding, old brake master cylinder oil expansion, the list goes on....

For safety reasons, get a good fitter to look at the brakes and if need be start changing a few parts.

Don't take it to Kwik Fit as they will rip you off !

have you or somebody adjusted anything lately
like handbrake cable,
otherwise go with what bravo1 says, unless you are competent enough to sort it yourself,
otherwise leave to the experts- but don't get ripped off

it may be worth getting rid of it, if it is gonna cost too much to fix. nearly 20 years old- something else is gonna fail soon. possibly
sounds a sthough you maybe have a seized piston in one of your calipers, the binding is probably happening because as the brake disc heats up it expands therefore causing the bind, and also as it cools it contracts so therefore the bind goes away, maybe worth having them looked at as bravo says
