there are only two known cures ....
don't unwrap the cartridge(S?) in the first place ....
buy a laser!

once the holes are full of ink I don't think there is a lot you can do ... I suppose wrapping the heads in clingfilm just might do the trick ... but equally it could just result in all the inks leaking into each other (they suck as well as blowing!)
thanks to capilliary action.

I took the second option ... a 22 (+vat) second hand HP4+ which included a new cartridge/toner which is good for some 10000 sheets ... so it will see me out - it sits for months sometimes and just prints whenever asked..
On the odd occasion I want colour I'd go to jessops or boots (actually I do it at work)

A friend bought a 160 colour laser which he'll throw away when it's empty (new inks cost 180!) - the results are impressive.
selotape the nipples ......remove selotape when u want to print
tera
presumably if it doesn't work ... at least it's entertaining ?
selotape the nipples ????

Think this thread has changed direction a little bit

Wrapping the cartridges tightly in cling film when not in use does help, but they will still dry out if left for a long time.
