Does anyone know why sometimes when im laying in bed i can feel my heartbeat through my whole body? its so wierd because i can feel my whole body pulsating or throbbing whatever it is. I dont mean if I put my hand somewhere I can feel it pulsing, I just lay there and feel it like my blood pressure is through the roof and its pretty annoying.

I sometimes heart my heartbeat -- I actually put that question to other ABers -- but my GP told me that sometimes when you are congested you will hear your heartbeat.
As for feeling it, you just may have become more aware of your own body, especially when you are under stress.
Have a checkup to make yourself feel better -- it's probably nothing but hearing it from your doctor will make you feel better. It did for me! :)
Litchick, i'm a male, Peanut is my cats name. I dont know if being male or female has any relavance to my question. I am 32 years old and have had this problem for a long time. The problem is I have no insurance to see a doctor. I never really thought of this as a medical concern because it only happens once in a while but feeling my body move when im trying to sleep gets annoying.
Hi Peanut,
First off, I hope I didn't offend in any way yesterday. As I said I was distracted whilst writing. I don't know if being male or female makes a difference. I just know that sometimes when I am under a lot of stress (recently my aunt has been very sick) I feel exactly the way you do -- that I can feel like my blood pressure is sky high and it probably is but remember, blood pressure does go up and down at various times of the day. I am sorry that you don't have insurance but if you really are worried you should get checked out just for the piece of mind of them telling you nothing's wrong. And again, once you become AWARE of these sensations it will follow that you will be more conscious of it and then it snowballs and you can't think of anything else. Go get yourself checked -- one visit to the GP (even if expensive) is worth the trip. Good luck and let us know how you are feeling! :)
