Tsunami: UK number of missing people
I can't understand why the UK foreign office has still not given an estimated number of those missing from the UK in this recent world catastrophe. Does anyone know why? Here in Sweden there is a sense of total shock and grief. Around 3,000 of Swedish people are still missing and presumed dead. Sweden just has a population of 9 million. (This figure of 3,000 would be the equivalent to around 23,000 of the British population). A lot of aid and emergency workers have gone out from Sweden to all the countries affected by the tsunamis and the King of Sweden and the Swedish Prime Minister have been "manning" emergency phones here.

I was a wee bit surprised that he hadn't come back but sometimes we never know the real reasons. Maybe he had problems with the old ticker again. I noticed on Sky News that an estimate has now been given for the number of people missing from the UK.
