I used to enjoy that.  Finished about six or seven years ago.  I REALLY fancied Kristen Cloke.  Do you remember Deark Skies/Clouds.  Finished realy suddenly as well...

If I remember correctly, Above and Beyond was created by the same guy who created The X-Files - Chris Carter (I think).

I believe the series was cancelled.

Dark Skies?  Not sure if it was cancelled before or after the death of main star JT Walsh.

How can they cancel that show it was so great and yeah Kristen Cloak was smashing
"SPACE: Above and beyond" was indeed excellent. To Haggisdj...... "Dark Skies"  finished after one series; it was meant to cover a decade every two years but it was cancelled. swines!! it also starred Jeri Ryan (Star Trek's 7 of nine) as a Rusian agent.

As usual with quality US Imports it was "lost" in the schedules to die a lonely death. As did most of the cast in the final episode .I dont remember the names but the only survivors were the naive kid and the "Tank" ( who was part of a program designed to fight Artificial Intelligence - ie a rebel force and NOT the Spielberg Movie! ). Kirsten Cloke WAS Cute in combats ( as are Starbuck and Boomer in the new Galactica - Heh , male producers eh? ) I seemed to recall her and " Damphouse" burning up in a shot-up ship while another Team member was left in a shot-up freighter. F Lee Ermey was the Drill Sergeant but their leader was a white haired " Tough but Sensitive " Type.

Echoing STARSHIP TROOPERS this series was a pretty fair stab at a gritty War Series although I recall the Story Arcs werent all that established. At least GALACTICA ( the new one that is ) is taking up the challenge - just have a look if you havent seen it - its light years better than the old one.

Now, if only they would remake Buck Rogers without casting a " Charisma-Vacuum" in the lead and a Hottie as Wilma ( Jen Garner, Natalie Portman, Neve Campbell .....)

Wandered off topic,Sorry!

Yes, we used to sit up to the middle of the night watching that.  I always fancied the in-vitro bloke, Cooper Hawkes, and my husband fancied Shane Vansen (Kristen Cloke) so it was an ideal programme for both of us.  And yet they all ended up hurtling towards some planet to their apparent doom...  Don't know why they axed it - we would have carried on watching it!

Sadly, I must also confess to watching Dark Skies as well...  ah, they don't make 'em like they used to...
