I currently use a Braun battery operated tooth brush. It's ok, but just wondered if anyone could recommend an even better, super duper, battery operated one please.

The king of toothbrushes! i dont have one but ive heared they are the best available

Hi smudge, I'm looking to buy one too so glad you've asked but are they ok to use if you have sensitive gums?

(Ultra sensitive at the mo... got the flu - thing!)

Question Author

nseymour - thank you for that website, I am considering the Sonicare Elite 7500 - it's very expensive, so will check out the prices in Boots, etc., too.

noddy, sorry to hear you have the flu bug - what a nuisance! I don't have sensitive teeth/gums yet, but looking on the Sonicare website, the Sonicare Elite 7500,  that says it can reverse gum disease/gingivitis.

My Braun battery tooth brush was only a few quid from Lloyds Chemist, or Wilkinsons. Perhaps you give one of those a try first. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.

Thanks smudge - I'm on the Heinz tomato soup recovery regime! :-)

I hope you enjoy it noddy! Get well soon. :0)
If you are looking for a Sonicare (which are excellent and no problem for sensitive gums) try Costco if you are a member.

Thanks BendToy - I hope noddy reads your reply for his/her sensitive teeth/gums.

I no longer have a Costco membership card, so will shop around for the best prices of the Sonicare range. Cheers.

Yes, thanks BenDyToy!

Smudge if you have a Boots Advantage card you can get up to 2000  points on Sonicare toothbrushes (online - don't know about shops).

Hi noddy - Cor, yes I do have a Boots Advantage card, so I shall look into that. Thanks for the info. Night night.

P.S. Hope you are feeling better now -x-
I might be too late.........but we got a Braun 8500 for xmas. They are about 75. My teeth feel like glass.

Hello smudge!

I bought a Braun Oral-B rechargeable toothbrush from Wilkinsons, about 18 months ago (approx. 12). As it's put on the charger every day, you know that it's always working on full power when you use it. Much better than my old battery powered toothbrush. You can also buy the soft toothbrush heads for sensitive teeth.

Wispy68 - now that's another good option - thank you. P.S. Love the username btw!
