here in stoke its cloudy and looks like the heavens are about to open.....whatever happened to those long hot summerrs?ahhhhhh happy memories lol what are your fondest memories of the hot summers of yesteryear?

to be honest, I like the sun, but im not a fan of hot weather. Sleepless nights and "betty swollocks", I cant stand it. I much prefer a very sunny, but ice cold day.

The only time I can bar hot weather is when im on holdiay, next to a pool or the sea

When i was a child taking a bottle of cordial (diluted ) and sandwiches and staying in the park playing all day... never had sun cream in those days and funnily enough we never got sun burned

I can remember, just after christmas it was in the paper or on the tv, that this summer would be one of the hottest yet!!

Its a normal dreary cloudy grey wet day here in yorkshire.

but oooh the memories of summer as a kid, one day lastest forever and we were out from breakfast time to suppertime, just bobbing home for food...lol wish it was the same these days cos my kids just hang round the house on game consoles all day lol

i remember playing in the park all day,football mainly then calling the shops and getting ice pops on the way home...lol seems like yesterday..............

80 dgrees here with expected highs of 88 to 90.
It can be very hot and difficult to get to sleep.70 last night when i went to sleeep at 2.30am
Ok if youre an insommniac tho : -)

Best summer i think was summer of 76 in filey during the drought , camping in frame tent with my brother & mum & dad.
Weather was great had real fun time.

i took the dog round our local park,where we used to play the other day,its got to be 20 years since i visited it and the old trees we used to climb were still there brought a lump to my throat..........very nostalgic..........

Been lovely and sunny here with bright blue skies down in my little corner. Im stuck indoors though with the eldest being off school sick :(

I loved the summers as a kid. There was fields behind my house and after they grass had been cut and dried, we woulld all go and make hay huts!

Back in the days when we would all s0d off for the day without a care in the world!

Warm and sunny North Kent coast. Had to get hose out last night to water garden, hope the ban is off, I have lost track. Not moaning though.
