Recommendation for CAR SEAT - 9 months plus

Hi everyone

Im due to put my son in a new car seat soon as he is about to hit the 9 month age and is of the weight for a front facing seat

Does anyone have any recommendations before I buy - there are sooo many!

please do not just buy the cheapest one, we made this mistake but they are no good. look for one with a good head rest for when baby is asleep, and one that reclines are normally better for when baby wants to get his head down.

Both of my kids had Maxi Cosi Priori seats and they were fab. The covers were hard wearing and washed very well and the seat was comfortable and the sides came out far enough for them to rest their heads on. If you go to Mothercare or Halfords they will see what fits in your car the best.

i also have the maxi cosi priori XP and my son has always been so comfy in it. hes now almost 3 and has a bit more room in it yet so its been a good buy.

it can often be found cheap on net but make sure you try and get it checked for fit first at halford or somewhere.

I'm with beanebabe. Maxi Cosi Priori are very good, and accepted as one of the 'top' brands.

We looked at several car seats and decided on the Mamas & Papas Pro-Tec Car Seat. It was only �120 which we thought was quite reasonably priced. Also, had fantastic customer service from Mamas & Papas whereas in Halfords the service was not very helpful.
