Working out how far gone...
I'm newly pregnant - only found out a week last Friday!! I'm trying to understand whether I am 6 or 7 weeks. I started my last period on the 16th May, I think that I am 6.5 weeks pregnant, so, should I say I am 7 weeks (I'm in my 7th week) or 6 weeks as I've passed that milestone?
Very confused!!
Also, I have worked out (on an online due date calculator) that I am due 20th Feb, when the doctor looked at his 'wheel' with the same first day of last period, he came up with 2nd March - what's right?
Thank you, I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me over the next few months!!!

This will be writen as 6+4 on your maternity notes. When you get your first scan the dates may change slightly but i doubt your GP is right unless you have very strange cycles.
congratulations!
why not join with a group of women due In Feb (or March 2009). you will gets loads of help and advice on AB but the forums are a great community too. http://messageboards.ivillage.co.uk/iv-ukpbfeb 2009/start
