Well,here's one for you. I had keyhole surgery (daycase).Very straight forward...However, 3 years later experienced abdominal discomfort. Had various scans,nothing conclusive so all the docs said it had to be endometriosis.Went to have the op & low & behold it wasn't what they thought at all! They found 3 (yes 3!) clips that were used for my sterilisation. One embedded on my bladder & one clipping the fat from my bowel to the top of my vagina (they called it 'pouch of Douglas') The other clip was still attached to the fallopian tube. They didnt remove them there & then as I hadn't signed the consent form for that procedure!! Had them removed 6 months later. I know my case is VERY rare. Having said all that, I dont regret having it done. If anything, my periods are better than they were before. I was 27 with 2 young kids (3 & 4) & I had it done on the NHS. This was 10 years ago.
