If a tenant has vacated a property owing lots of rent/council tax and bills, and has left most of their belongings behind, how long is a reasonable amount of time to lapse before destroying or removing the items. The tenant does not reply to calls or text messages and will not give a forwarding address. New tenant, quite rightly so, is cheesed off looking at all the stuff left in the conservatory. many thanks.
great idea tetjam, only problem is if i do that then i have no bargaining tools with regard to rent owed! trying to stay lawful but law does not appear to be much on my side. Her stuff is of very little value, personal phots etc so not worth selling, its only of value to her, hence the bargaining tool option. all suggestions welcome
