Politics vrs Love

Assuming one partner is not an extreme commie and the other is an NF supporter, can hugely differential political ideology be a problem in a relationship?

If one partner is the ultimate capitalist, a true believer in the free market economy, has colonialist ideals and strong traditional values caring for little in politics outside his or her pension fund, house prices and the rise of immigration for example, whilst the partner has strong liberal, socialist views and big on workers rights and unions, seeing the injustice of humanity and would love to open a cafe for missing limbed, single parent Ubekistani lesbian vegetarians.................would there be problems??

This is assuming the chemistry, personality, looks and everything else was in place with sweet harmony.

In answer to Abdulmajid: Mr A is a light pinkish fellow, veering slightly to the left via the Lib Dems in a damp, Piscean sort of a way. Me, I'm Libran in that Maggie Thatcher only slightly left of Ghengis Khan sort of a way. We get on great. Have done for the past 20 odd years. Great question. Gay and lesbian rights are poorly respected in Uzbekistan. Gays face regular police harassment and establishments where they meet are forced to close or heavily monitored by police.There is no gay scene as such. . The country remains deeply homophobic. A gay group was first established in Uzbekistan in 1993 and in 2000 a gay community website was set up

Good question
I think relationships like you have mentioned can last, as long as the people involved respect each others rites to have the believes that they have, and not bring down each others points of view because they don�t agree with them.
