I was reading some of these jokes in yesterday's daily mail and nearly died laughing.
An old person thinks an ipod is a portable gramophone crossed with a hearing aid !
Brilliant. My dad calls a cd player a gramophone cringe

When I was little it was a huge embarrassment to have to wear a little box with wires going to your ears.

It told the world you were deaf.

my mum calls a cd player a stereo, but pronounces it "steereo". it drives me nuts.

and she always says, "load-down" instead of download.

I know! and I keep hearing myself say, "when I was your age we didn't have........ " ... computers to do our homework/mobile phones etc.

I am retired and when my daughter lived here she offered to pay my phone line so she could have a computer.I hit the roof said
"No definately Not there are no computers coming in this house. "Now she makes me eat my words .I play dominoes on line ,have lots of friends on msn and yahoo messenger down load all my pictures read all the answerbank for information and must add Ethel is a wealth of information. Now my daughter asks me for info. So we not all as dumb lol lol. (MEANT JOKINGLY)

Absolutely wendilla ! I bet you are so pleased you gave in to her ! I don't know how we ever survived without computers. Oh yes, Ethel is great. She solved a problem for me this morning.

No Jillious didn't give into her.When she moved out she left an old computer here to store that she got from someone and curiousity got the better of me .I fixed it up and played cards games on it then I first went on dial up but that was no good as it kept cutting me off my dominoes. Been on now for 3 years.Never looked back still learning it's great just get a bit piddled off with some of the idiots. but it's best to ignore them.

lol, a few weeks ago my dad was round here and was looking at my ipod, I was telling him that there were over a thousand songs on it and that you can either listen to them through the speakers or carry it around and use headphones..."Amazing" he said..."All those songs without a record in sight, so where do the tapes go then?"
