The ticket must be an exact match to the car it is placed upon, if the ticket says black and your car is blue (does not matter of the shade) then the ticket is invalid. Phone the number on the ticket and explain you are disputing the ticket, they will tell you to put it in writting to your local chief constable, and he will write back saying sorry for the ticket and you will not have to pay. I know this because i did in in Darlington about 2 months ago and won.

Recent research carried out by a group of highly stoned monkeys suggests that parking responsibly has an almost 100% reduction in the reciept of parking tickets and their accompanying fines.

My husband just recieved a non endorsable fixed penalty notice. He parked his car on the grass verge outside our house. On the ticket, the vehicle registration number is wrong (1st two characters) and you can not read the reason for the ticket. The bit that is 'sort of readable' is spelt incorrectly. Can he appeal?
