Dishwasher Knackered
2 Answers
My three year old Bosch Dishwasher packed up last night. During a wash cycle, I heard a couple of "clunks" from inside the machine but took no real notice. The dishwasher stopped around 30 minutes from the end of the two hour cycle with no warning.
When I opened the door, there was water in the bottom of the machine. A slight smell of burning was apparent even when the door was closed, but I couldn't locate the source. I failed to restart the dishwasher via any program and the machine refused to pump out the water. The machine wouldn't even pump the water out on the "reset" position
The only other thing I can add is that when I tried to switch the machine on this morning, a "tick" could be heard from somewhere behind the control panel. The single tick was regular at around every five seconds.
Could I have some advice please on the likely cause of the problem. What I can't understand is if a pump is broken, why am I hearing this tick from behind the control panel?
Thank you.
