temping and maternity rights

I've had a look on a few websites but can't find anything exact - one of my friends is working as a temp and she is about 13 weeks pregnant. We have looked into her rights regarding pay etc but I can't seem to find out what her rights are as regard to things ike time off for midwife appointments etc. Anyone know or can point me in the right direction?
