Lofty .....nah nah nah nah na ......you missed
I found my clackers in my dads loft a few years ago. I was chuffed to bits. Sadly they seem to have vanished again.
Lofty and Jillius, me too. You could not beat playing in the fields, the countryside is great! We used to have a little spinney too and it was great for hide and seek. I can even remember a little stream which had watercress growing in it, it was so clean and clear. Everything was organic then. We used to go blackberry picking as well, for hours, and we were quite safe. Beats sitting in a bedroom on a computer.
If I get a chance to come back and have a life again, I'm going to have my childhood in the country. Jillius has made it sound so perfect.
We used to go fishing in the dyke for sticklebacks , and frogspawn .....euwwww .

thanks to everyone today. its been a lovely memorable time.
xx ;-)
Jane, I think this is British Bulldog.....
One person stands in the middle of the hall or playground, everybody else runs passed them. The person in the middle has to catch one before they all reach the other side. The people who are caught then have to stand in the middle too, and then become catchers. They have to keep catching people til there's only one person left.
I've really enjoyed reading all these messages - we (me and my sisters) used to live near a woods and would build dens and imagine living in them - going on bike rides for the day - cats cradle, french skipping, marbles (my lad loves marbles and he's 9!) making hobby horses with poles and dad's old socks - oldest sister painting on the lamp post and being told off my mum (the paint's still there) - and it was always sunny!!
