It really helps with phobias, addictions, OCD's and distorted thinking. You know, the sort of learnt behaviour that we carry with us through life, but which we know really doesn't do us any good. Its excellent and in many ways is a quicker solution than counselling, which is brilliant, but doesn't help you change your behaviour rapidly. CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) is often short-term and quick-acting. It can help with many conditions and there is much written about it on the net. If you are going through the NHS, there is generally a long waiting list, and if you are going privately, expect to pay anything between 35 - 100 per session, depending on where you live. I wish you well if you are thinking of undergoing therapy. Good Luck. x
