You said "The logical definitition of infinity will not allow an infinite number of non-zero terms to add up to anything less than "infinity". " , which is incorrect. It is possible for an infinite number of non-zero items to add up to less than infinity. e.g.
1/2 = 1/2
+ 1/4 = 3/4
+ 1/8 = 7/8
+ 1/16 = 15/16
+1/32 = 31/32
+1/64 = 63/64
[etc]
+1/16384 = 16383/16384
[etc]
+1/2^loads = 1-(1/2^loads)
[etc]
which adds up to 1.
