Erotica is neither words nor pictures, it is something that appeals to one or more of the senses in a sexual manner.

What I posted previously I think still stands: that the other partner (not the proponent of erotica) will never be enough to stand as a separate entity as the object of desire because they will always be subjugated to external fantasy that might not include their own sexual persona.
