Was the early mobile phone tariff (1980-90s) ever more expensive from within the M25,,??? i have a �10 bet that Vodaphone did charge more,,,,will i lose??

cellnet and voda were in direct competition (oftel didn't officiallly regulate either) 'cause they tended to match prices.

but then mercury started (first in london) which drove prices down further.

unless you have numbers ... I think it could well be the opposite

My first mobile phone, though securely fastened in the vehicle so hardly mobile , 25p / minute unless within the M25 in which case it was 50p / min so you are completely correct and the winner of �10 It was indeed on a Vodafone tariff.

My first mobile was 20 years ago. I was paying �2 a minute. Could I ever get a signal? NO!
