can anyone tell me why, michelle and ryan both have the surname connor, when she was supposed to be married and always going on about her wonderful dean???

Same reason as Elsie Tanner remained Elsie Tanner when she married Steve.

He was a Tanner, too.

Wasn't Michelle married to Carla's brother, Dean who died in an accident. Making Michelle and Carla sister's-in-law.

masma....Carla was married to Michelle's brother who is also dead. That is how they are sisters in law.

Michelle was never married to Dean so therefore she is still a Connor.

Misto is right, they were never married so she is, was and will be a Connor.

I am quite disappointed that in June she signed a �100k deal to stay for another year, I was quite hopeful that she would disappear soon. Steve deserves better.

I must admit gina32, I have often wondered this as well. Perhaps she reverted to her maiden name, or perhaps it was just a mistake by the Corrie team writer which they thought wouldn't be noticed.

I too am annoyed she is staying Octavius. Steve definitely deserves a better partner - Becky, hopefully!! She is just not right for Jason, he is too boring.

got an email from corrie which said that she never married him! but i also seen the same as you lotty and on another site so i dont know.

well you would have thought so, just had another email from corrie rep to say they are getting the website changed to show that they didnt marry!!

And if you remember the Connor parents are very straight laced (good Irish family) - they were worried about how they would react to Maria being pregnant before she and Liam were married.

So it doesn't add up that Michelle was not married to her son's father.

yes it's interesting wondering about the wether she was married or not , but more to the point why if the parents are
Irish and had the accent - why dont Michele and Liam have any sort of Irish accent ?
