X Factor under-16s

I noticed they didnt show many under-16s auditions last year, only the really good ones.
Is this so they dont make a fool of the kids?
Or was it just that no talentless kids turned up?

Probably because the producers believed that the bear-baiting public are quite content to sit and watch tedious adults delude themselves they have talent, but to watch children do the same is uncomfortable and smacks of bad or pushy/dominating parenting.

Its not edited to protect the children, its to keep TV audiences on side.
