Is it true that if you tickle a rat's belly it will 'giggle'?.....I can't remember if I heard or read it somewhere but if anyone can put it straight then thank you.

Well I have kept rats for years....and mine have never giggled!

I must admit that over the years I've had rats I have tried this myself, but to no avail......oh well, I suppose thats a myth then!
