I am to complete my NQT year in secondary PE from september 2008. I have always wanted to travel but know that it can be very expensive. I was wondering about teaching abroad for a year, not sure where, and wanted to know the best way of going about this? Also, has anybody ever done this and where would be nice to go? Oh, and can partners come with you? Thanx x

The TES has adverts for jobs abroad so that would be the best place to look, probably from January onwards. Unless you speak other languages, you want a job in either an English speaking country or a British school - there are quite a lot of these. It depends how flexible you are about where you want to go really. Entirely up to you who goes with you - you are only applying for a job after all - but unless they are going to find a job too, you will need to be careful that your salary is enough to support both of you. I worked in Spain for 3 years and had a blast - thoroughly recommend it. Good luck.
