Stamp of Courage?

In the scottish mail today,families are backing a campaign to have there heroes portraits issued on stamps,a petition has been set up and already there are 12,000 signatures, what do you thinkl!!!!

Its a nice thought.But i think usually theres only about 6 or 8 stamps to a theme.Who and how would the heroes be chosen ?

Sorry didnt explain well, its the guys that have lost there lifes in Afganistan and alike!!!, we lost a chap from around here so possibly his face could be on a stamp, as yet this is only suggested to the Royal Mail!!!

I think in that case a more general one for the regiments would be more practical.

Yep good thinking leg!you wouldn have to have 100+ and growing different portrait stamps!

no technological reason why you couldn't have hundreds of different faces on stamps - in fact everyone could print their own faces on a stamp - but if people don't immediately recognise one then it makes it easier to forge the stamps, I guess.

Think the idea is to salute everyone -not just Scottish soldiers -who have lost their lives.

O I do that all the time funny -yip you are right -unsung hereos.

Regimental stamps as someone suggested might be a better idea though -there have been a lot of people who have laid their own lives down for us and her -too selective having faces on -think of the people who still grieve for the father they never met -from the second world war -just musing
