pointing accrington brick

My house is made of red stock accrington brick and because of the cost i am thinking of pointing it my self but i am unsure how to go about it as i am not that handy around the house. Any advise welcome

but if you are not that handy with diy projects, you might be better advised to save up and have it done professionally - if done badly, it looks awful and might reduce the value of your property, whereas if well done it should enhance the value.
Have any of your neighbours had theirs done recently ? If the works look good, then ask them who did it and get a quote from that builder (as well as a few other builders) so you know how much to save up for.
