Im a girl... and im wondering what guys and girls really think of a girl that is a bit chubby!!!???

seriously honest answers would be great,

weight on a person is never an issue with me, ive been out with a skinny guy, medium and a large guy and i must admit i do like a chubby guy!! even when i was slim i prefer a bigger guy,

im chubby, im size 16 not massive but chubby

i dont wanna be skinny, i wanna be a nice size 12 like i used to be, but i dont get why girls are wanting this size 0 i mean it isnt attractive at all!! look at sara and cheryl from girls aloud, i would have done anything for their figures but now they look horrible!! so thin and unattractive!!! is that what guys want?? what they really want??? i mean surely boobs and a Wiggle of the arse has got to be more attractive then skin and bones!!!!

unles you are talking about massive life threatening obesity then no to me personally it doesn't matter.
A size 16 is not enormous, it's actually realistically average and looks quite nice on some ladies depending upon height and fram size. Size zero on the other hand is never attractive on anyone and any man that goes out with someone purely because of their shape or size is imho not worth the time in the first place.
I've been out with girls everything from size 8 to size 18 and as far as I'm concerned no amount of skinnes hides an ugly inner personality, and at the end of the day that counts for far more than a few pounds here and there:)

My fella used to go out with sum1 who was a size 6! He liked her company but the reltionship was more like a brother and sister one, he never wanted to, well you know, as he didnt find her attractive.....me on the other hand am a size 12 and I feel a bit chubby here and there, but my fella loves it and wouldnt change me at all, he says he likes me the way I am.....so wouldnt worry about what size you are, men like summink they can get hold of!!!!

I remember the days when size 12 was slim. I worked in the Fashion Industry for many years and our standard fit model was a size 12. We considered her to be the ideal shape and size. It's shocking to think a size 12 is now deemed as a bit chubby and a size 8 is slim.

The average size for women in the UK is size 16, (Fern britton's size) so there are many men dating women who may be classified as a bit chubby.

I think people of the older generation dont think chubby is bad.Afterall a hundred years ago to be fat was seen as jolly and a show of wealth.
Nowadays its younger more vain people that worry about it so much.
We should all be like the oldies and not care about it.

I think the reason people care less about physical size as they get older is because they are less likely to follow the lemming mentality, an older person knows more about themselves and what they like, they feel more self assured and so the shallowness normally associated with having a model girlfriend ect is less so.

I am a size 16 myself and I am more attracted to personality and wit rather than someones outward appearance.

I've gained alot of weight since meeting my partner. I've always struggled, what with having PCOS, but managed to get down to a lean and athletic size 10, through healthy eating and exercise.

I hate being a size 14/16 and think slimmer women look better in and out of clothing. I personally don't feel anyone overweight can look good, but thats just my opinion. I hate my hamster cheeks as well.

I recently found a skirt I wore in my teens ( I am now 52).

It is a size 14. My daughter is a size 8/10 and she cannot get anywhere near it, it is far far too small. I guess that skirt would be about a size 0 in todays sizes.

I am 18 years old, a size 12 and very short so have a bit of chub! Used to be very unhappy until I realised what is so wrong with the way I look? I honestly feel I could be any size right now and still be happy - I am very happy in my skin and my friends often tell me I have buckets more confidence than they do, and they are all sizes!! My fella loves me the way I am partly because I am so comfortable. As long as you are happy with the way you look, other people will see it :-) x
