I recently bought the freehold on my property, which may seem a bit mad,as it cost me 1,280 ,and the ground rent was only 12 annually. However i now have no restrictions on what i can do with the property, and was having hassle from the freeholders trying to get me to take out their buidings insurance ,which i was not prepared to do.Also it does add to the saleable value when freehold.Anyway if i stay where i am and live another 106 years i will get my money back!!!
