I wish to join a union but am unsure which would accept me,  i am an office worker in london (organising events for the pension / investment industry)... thanks for any ideas

Perhaps you could try the MSF Union (manufacturing science & finance or AMICUS which is the UK's largest manufacturing, technical & skilled persons union - sorry I don't have any contact numbers but they will likely be listed in yellow pages.
