clio lambda sensor

clio failed mot on lambda sensor shes a 1994 clio RT done 116,000 miles replaced head gasket recently put a new lambda sensor in and a new exhaust but not replaced the Cat and she still failed mot. Lambda sensor reading was 1.05 Fail. anyone have any ideas??

get them to test it again! Make sure the engine is at normal running temperature but has not been sitting at idle for too long. 1.05 is just outside the 1.03% maximum permissable CO2 levels, and (providing the other levels are ok) should pass no probs.
