Fitting a smaller engine

I am thinking a buying a 4x4 vauxhall frontera but the engine thats been fitted in it is smaller than the standard. It was a 2.2 but its a 2.0 omega engine thats been fitted.

Is this going to cause any problems in regards to switching to 4x4 and high/low ratio or any other way.

The problem may be on steep inclines and declines as the sump is a different design on a 4x4 to a car,the design of the 4x4 oil pump is different to a car to allow up to 45 degrees without the oil pump running dry thus sucking fresh air and ruining your engine

no the four wheel drive is to do with the gearbox as long as this hasnt been changed you will be ok. however check with your insurance company this is a notifyable alteration and a reason for them to worm out of coughing up if you make a claim
