What should I do?
8 Answers
Well, it's the holidays and I'm starting to get quite bored and depressed. I just spend my time watching tv and worrying about issues with this boy. I actually spend most of my time just worrying about things.
I think I'm going to start a couple of hobbies, I just wondered in people's experience, will this help me feel better? I'm not by any means clinically depresses, I'm just a bit fed up and a bit ill with worrying about stupid things that I can do nothing about.
Thanks!

if you have any mates just go out even if you have no money just get yourself out, put your make-up on hold your head up and just forget about the boy and find a new one trust me if he liked you that much he wouldnt annoy you so much with all the problems he's giving you. A girls nite out is the way forward.
hope it works for you like it did for me lv nikki

Stop worrying about the boy - life is too short, and he's probably not worth it. Get out and socialise and you will probably meet someone much nicer. Exercise is a brilliant way of feeling better. It doesn't have to cost anything, go for a brisk walk or start running. Sitting around doing nothing is a sure fire way of feeling depressed.
The most important thing for you will be to find a hobby that keeps your mind active, not just your body/hands. Knitting, for example, becomes very repetitive and can be done without thinking after you get into the swing of it. This means you'll likely fall back into thinking about these situations you can't change, even while your hands are busy making a scarf. So think of some ideas that will keep your mind occupied, and your body active. I suggest physical activity like joining a gym/working out (lots of exercises can be done at home) playing a sport, yoga, etc. These have the added benefit of improving your health, and there is no better way for you to feel better about your self. If that's not up your alley try something artistic like painting or writing music. Whatever it is that you enjoy, that's how you should spend your time!
If you play some sort of an instrument, excel yourself in it. I find it's an amazing way to relieve stress, and don't even get lessons or anything, I just do it on my own (piano).
I'm in a similar situation - bored in the hollybags! I'm also going to start studying Shakespeare plays - what a gimp! But keeps the mind busy!
