The fact that Hitler died in his bunker is almost certain, despite the lack of provable physical evidence to this effect. It is also quite likely that Hitler did not die by his own hand. There is reason to believe that Hitler, unable to bring himself to commit suicide, and with the Russians almost at the door, was killed, possibly by his butler Linge, in order that the remaining bunker residents might attempt to escape from the advancing Russians.
While it will never be proven with certainty, it certainly would be poetic justice for Adolf Hitler, the most powerfully evil man of the 20th Century, to be strangled to death by his "faithful" servant.
Ironically, the answer to one of the most intriguing deaths/murders of the century, may indeed be: the butler did it!
It would appear that is very unlikely that anything resembling a human corpse remained following Adolf Hitler's post-mortem burning. Further theories on the location of the body here...

It is, of course, very difficult to establish just what happened. Trevor-Roper had the advantage of interrogating some of the survivors, and his account is based (among other things) on their testimony. If Hitler died otherwise than by his own hand (a single shot through the mouth according to Trevor-Roper), then it is odd that no one should have claimed the credit for the deed when it might have been advantageous to do so.
Perhaps bringitback would give us evidence that the theory that the body 'was burnted outside the bunker' is rubbish'.
On 30th April, with the Russians beginning their final assault on the Reich Chancellory under which the bunker was located, Hitler married Eva Braun. At about 3pm, they both went into his office. 15 minutes later, his staff, led by Linge went into the office. They had both taken prussic acid capsules, Hitler had shot himself through the side of the head for good measure. He had instructed Martin Bormann to burn both of their bodies in the garden of the Reich Chancellery which he duly did in a shell hole with petrol
So many different versions to one story! I still am not sure who to believe.
