has anyone got a opinon on the weather and land changes

I am very concerned about global warming and am looking for ways to conserve energy both at home and in the journey I make back and forth to work. Until public transport becomes safer and regular it is impossible. They should also stop building so many new houses on land which hitherto has been prone to flooding. They shore up the new building land against flooding and then the floods occur in other more established areas. It's crazy!
