Toilet Cistern Convertion

Hi There,
I have a troublesome Toilet Cistern which requires a replacement syphon unit, at my local DIY store, they no longer stock the usual units and instead offer a replacement which seems to be a simple "flap" fitted to the outlet. While I think this is a good idea, and so simple, I'm interested to find out if anyone else has used this conversion and what is their verdict.

oh by the way it has its own over flow as well, button is brill with kids no more yanking the lever because it wont flush hth Tez

your welcome, you may if you have low level have problems with splitting the unit connecting bolts that hold cistern onto the pan they rust up you may just insert a mole griped 12 " saw blade to saw through them then replace with brass kit + new doughnut if needed hth Tez

Thanks Tez, as luck would have it, mine is fitted with wing nuts and both are nice and free. I am concerned that the fixing screws into the wall will remove ok, so fingers crossed.
