It is a very friendly and unsnobby university in a very friendly and culturally diverse city. Plus it's right in the middle of the city and is spread across a wide area rather that being on a closed campus.
Having two universities in the city and another a few miles down the road (Loughborough), Leicester's also very student-friendly.
