OBE - Dead or not?
8 Answers
After an op I floated above my body and saw myself call out to the nurse (with no sound) who was busy in her office. I was ushered into a tunnel, with a brightly lit room at the end. I didn't recognise anyone and told my usher "this isn't my home" and was immediately returned to my body. The patient beside me called the nurse, curtains were drawn around my bed and I was sedated.

Couldnt have been pleasant -I would guess they were sedating you again so they could get you back on a level.

Interesting, it is called out of body experience (OBE). I have never experienced this, but books have been read about it and research has been done on this. One small aspect of research was that ayt the end of the tunnel was a bright light and a slim, bearded man clearly Jesus Christ beckoning. This was the experience of people with a religious faith, but the non-religious group did not see any human figure at all. To put the issue straight, I am an atheist so I have no axe to grind. There is a psycho-chemical reason for this, but perhaps some AB could add to this.
should have added tho...... I dont suffer an out of body experience when I have sleep paralysis, I simply cannot move a muscle of make a noise for about 30 seconds and I also feel as though someone or something sinister is in the room with me either sitting on my bed or pressing down on my body..... its terryfying as you think you have been visisted by a ghost !
