My mother started getting little blisters on her hands, espeically her knuckles, a while ago. They are now spreading up her arm and she has noticed something similar on the back of her neck. They can be extremely itchy and quite painful. Any ideas?
They are little blisters or bite-like spots that turn into bruises.

Thanks in Advance

Also, she says they weep when the burst if that gives any clues?
Theres a couple of kids in our local nursery who have been diagnosed as having foot and mouth disease. This started off like little blisters that looked similar to small chicken pox I also worked with a woman years ago who got blisters on her hands that spread over her wrists and she too was told it was foot and mouth. I dont know for sure if this is what you mum has but its probably worth a visist to the doctors to rule it out and maybe get it looked at.
My first thought was scabies :(
