during the opening titles the main guy is making breakfast and cracks eggs with one hand. it was sort of like the "The Champions" detectivey and what I am really trying to find out is the theme tune.

I'm pretty sure the man making the breakfast is Robert Vaughn in 'The Protectors'. Don't know about the theme tho'.

Agreed... and the theme tune was 'Avenues and Alleyways' sung by Tony Christie.
