2 wk off work. give me ideas pls?

anyone got any ideas of what
to do in the south east of england? in particular kent / east sussex.

I quite enjoy my own company so can do things that dont involve another person being along.


Ps:
I like: castles / stately homes.
the beach / pools / rivers / swimming
gardens.

AND...ANYTHING FREE!

I've got next week off and I'll be going to Hever Castle on Wednesday. I've been there a few times and its beautiful. the gardens are lovely.

poo! haven't got any time off until october - and i'll be working like a donkey over the summer hols as we are poor and the boy is off to my parents for 4 of the 6 weeks. think of me in a hot, sweaty office box with inept colleagues and sh!tty customers to boot!

yeah tigger - been to hever (once)and you're right it is lovely. very picturesque. I went in winter before and havent seen it in summer so that may be worth a trip. Good idea. I may do that on one of me off days too. Who knows if i choose to do it wednesday I may even pass you .... and neither of us will even know.

oh tigger - theres a chance we've passed eachother before cos been to chiselhurst caves 3 times (yeah so some would call me an anorak!)

Have you been to dover castle? Out of all my kentish / east sussex castles i think like that the best..and the walk along the cliff is marvelous too...

Just last weekend I went to chiddingstone castle(kent) that was nice and the grounds were really pretty too.

I don't thnk I've been to Dover Castle. In fact I think I've only been to Dover once and that was to catch a ferry. Lol. Sounds good though.

yup JJ - i hear you were locked up without food (bar macky D's) and any good "liquid refreshment" ....never mind the friday night bars in brighton will still be there when you are let free.... (which u will be...maybe? Probably? perhaps? :-)

never been to the seafront at nighttime . me -... i am a bit of a peace and tranquility bird myself...though I am know to dance (solo) non stop when music i enjoy plays...just "one of my idiosynchrises"
